Buyers arrive, begin pre-Sanganai-Hlanganani tours

Some of the buyers who have arrived in the country for the 1th edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo have began pre-expo tours.

About 100 buyers are expected to grace this year’s Sanganai/Hlanganani. About 40 buyers that have arrived are already on a tour  of dome of the country’s top resort towns.

The pre-expo tours help buyers to familiarise themselves with the various products on offer and also to explore other opportunities.

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) head of corporate affairs Godfrey Koti confirmed the development, adding that the buyers have visited places like Vumba, and Kariba, among others.

“The tours have already commenced in Nyanga, Vumba, Mutare, and Kariba. We have seen 312 exhibitors from regional and international markets registering to participate in this premier business exchange platform,” he said.

Sanganai Hlanganani is scheduled for the 12th to the 14th of October at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair exhibition park.

According to ZAT, the expo is expecting buyers from Zimbabwe’s traditional source markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, and Dubai. Koti expressed excitement about the positive response from the international community, especially from the critical source markets they work with.

The Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo aims to elevate Zimbabwe’s status as a world-class marketing platform and generate significant revenue for the tourism sector.
